Whistle Away Summary

                                  Whistle Away  The poem is about the way we should lead our life everyday and that we can do by keeping our heart happy and making others happy. The poet addresses the boy as merry boy and asks him to whistle by keeping his face happy and heart joyful. This will make him strong. The poet ask him to whistle if anything goes wrong with him as it will lighter his heart. Even if he is engaged in hard work like sowing of seeds, hoeing the corn, or pulling weeds, gathering fruit, or raking hay or driving cow, he must whistle every time and keep himself happy. The poet asks the boy that it is not possible for everybody to sing; and at that time, the best thing for him is to whistle a tune. Hide and Seek

                Hide and seek The poem is about a child who plays the game of hide and seek with great enthusiasm and excitement. The poet wants to say that it is not very easy to be a winner. Just as the child faces a lot of a difficulties in the game hide and seek to be a winner, in the same way human beings also face a lot of difficulties in order to overcome the problems in their life.                 Summary of Hide and Seek  The poem starts with a child confidently challenges his friends to find him as he is sure that no one in his Hide and Seek group would be able to get him. The poet says that the child hides himself in a toolshed that is dark and has a salty smell permeating everywhere, which reminds him of the seaside.                         Mr. Nobody  The theme of the poem is that the poet focuses on the incidents that are small generally unimportant mistakes such as breaking of a plate, that a child might get in trouble for. The poet portrays a family where a little child does mischievous things but the family members do not scold him or rather than blames on Mr Nobody.
