How to write a diary entry

  1. The diary entry is written in the first person.

  1. Use the past tense as it has already happened and sometimes present tense if required.

  1. Use paragraphs to separate different ideas and events.

  1. Diaries are written in the order in which they happened – chronological order

  1. Use conjunctions like primarily, next, then and finally.
