Subject: Poor condition of street lights
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to the notice of concerned authorities the poor condition of street lights in our locality.
The street lights are not functioning properly in our area, which has created an unsafe environment for those who return home after the sunset. A large number of accidents have also been noticed in the recent months. In addition to this, the chain and mobile snatching activities are also increasing day by day. The members living in our community sometimes leave their work incomplete as they have to return home before it gets dark.
We have tried several times to bring to the notice of the concerned department; however all our efforts have gone in vain.
I shall, therefore, feel obliged if you kindly published the above in one of your columns to increase efficiency in staff and department.
