Ans- The problem faced by the Gulmohar tree was that it thirsted like rest of others for water.

Ans- The Gulmohar tree developed fine hair-like subroots, finer than the finest of hair. The hair was so fine that it was able to penetrate into the minute pores of the cement pipe, pushing through the wall's thickness until they sipped the cool liquid.

Ans The water-supply folks were called to solve the water problem faced by residents of Block C2 to C12. They dug the drains beside the cemented pipe and the mesh of roots was cut away from the pipe so as to have a steady supply of water.

5. How did the residents treat the tree in the end? 

Ans- The residents had the feeling of regret when the roots were being Cut. So they decided to look after, of course, water the golden Gulmohar, and there it still stands as a glowing tribute to will power and determined effort.
