Dear Diary

Today I finished reading a book. The name of the book is Pride and prejudice by Jane Austen.

After reading the novel, I Came to know about the status of women in the first quarter of 19th century. It depicts a society in which woman’s reputation is of utmost importance. A woman is expected to behave in certain ways. Stepping outside the social norms leads to ostracism.

I liked this book a lot as it provides a detailed information regarding the manners of women.
