Ans-Drona wanted Arjuna to leave the battlefield because as long as Arjuna was present supporting Yudhishthira, it was impossible for them to seize him.

7. Which literary device does the author use when he writes ‘they fell like moths in the fire’? explain what he means.

Ans- The literary device that the author uses is simile. By this expression the author means that Kaurava’s warriors got killed in the battlefield as moths get killed in the fire.

8. Why did Drona send veteran warriors to bring Duryodhana back?

Ans-Drona sent veteran warriors to bring Duryodhana back as he was anxious about him.

9. What did the veteran warriors do to Abhimanyu?

Ans- The veteran warriors, with great difficulty, managed to rescue the king  from Abhimanyu and made a combined and simultaneous attack on him.
