Ans:  The mother was dismayed when the               father mentioned Christmas because               she had rather hoped that the boy                     would forget.

Ans: The job of an interplanetary officers                 would be to check that the weight of                 things should not exceed the limit..

Ans: The boy wasn't sure he would get his               gift; so when the midnight was to                     approach the boy asked for the watch             and he looked at the watch eagerly                   waiting for Christmas. Hence the rest               of the time he remained silent, angry               and emotional.

5. Why do you think the boy gasped?

Ans: I think the boy gasped because his wish           to look into the space through the                     porthole was fulfilled.

8. Do you think the boy got a better gift in          the end?  Give reasons.

Ans: Yes, I think the boy got a better gift in               the end because he got the chance to               look through the porthole into the                     space for a long time, and saw ten                     billion white and lovely candles in the             form of shining stars.
